Handicaps

 

Handicap will be marked on scorecards before play by committee. Bonus / penalty points adjustment will be available from committee on the day. Scorecards must be signed by player and marker and score will be adjusted by committee members only. 

 

Captain's Prize

To be eligible to win the Captain's prize on Captain's Day a member must have played in 3 of the previous 5 outings.

Player of the Year

Points will be awarded in Grand Prix style i.e. 12,10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 plus appearance points of 2 for all players on the day.

For 2009 the final total will be based on the best 5 from 6 outings.

Matchplay

The draw for the matchplay competition is held in the Bayside Inn after our first outing.

The maximum number eligible to play is 32.

The first name out for each pairing has home advantage.

Matchplay sheet will have the phone numbers of all players and there is equal responsibility on players to contact each other.

All matches must be completed before the following Society outing.

The season starting handicap is used for the duration of the matchplay.

The final will be at a neutral venue selected by the finalists (within reason) and subsidised by the Society
